We have grouped our research projects into ‘clusters’, to help us optimise how we combine relevant specialist expertise (e.g. specific methodological approaches), and increase our research capacity, for example grant applications & publications.
Increased multi-/interdisciplinary capacity will facilitate research development and innovation as well as addressing knowledge gaps.
Some of our research projects match the objectives of more than one research cluster. Projects have been aligned to their primary grouping.
The thematic research clusters are aligned to strategic goals of Connecting for Life; Ireland’s National Strategy for the Reduction of Suicide, 2015-2024 (DoH, 2015), components of the WHO Report, Preventing Suicide: A Global Imperative (WHO, 2014) and the UN Sustainable Development Goals (2030), in particular target 3.4, which aims to reduce premature mortality from non-communicable diseases by one third by 2030.
