Suicide and self-harm are critical public health issues within Ireland, and globally. Research, such as that conducted by the NSRF, can help us understand the causes, the risk factors and protective factors associated with suicidal behaviour.

Donations

Any donation, big or small, will help us to continue, and expand, our research with the ultimate aim of reducing self-harm and suicidal behaviour in Ireland and internationally.

Donations are made through iDonate.

The National Suicide Research Foundation (NSRF) is a registered charity (20030889) based in University College Cork, Ireland.

Fundraising

Previous fundraisers have included an incredible walk from Mizen Head to Malin Head, a 500,000 steps in a month challenge and a virtual ‘Cycle the Globe’ challenge.

If you are interested in fundraising for the NSRF, or if you have a fundraising idea, we would love to hear from you.

Corporate Partners – how you can help

We are actively working with companies and professionals across Ireland to improve Workplace Mental Health.

If you would like your company or organisation to get involved with our research and support our work through a bespoke corporate partnership, we would love to hear from you.

Ways to support our work can include commissioning research, awareness building, support-in-kind, sponsorship and fundraising and we are always happy to explore new ideas.

Corporate Donors – Tax Benefit: Companies who donate can avail of tax relief on their donation, your company simply claims a tax deduction on the donation as if it were a trading expense.

Keep up to date with our work

Following and sharing our updates on social media can help our work to reach a wider audience.

This, in turn, increases knowledge and awareness of reliable research related to mental health and suicidal behaviour.
